— Brief

A residential sauna with the calm of a hotel spa.

The brief: a quiet, glass-fronted sauna paired with a wet zone, built into an existing home. Clear-grade western red cedar throughout, white quartz on the wet wall, stainless fixtures and a HUUM heater for a soft, even heat. Concealed perimeter lighting keeps the room feeling weightless after dark.

— Exterior

A small building, built right.

White epoxy stucco envelope, black standing-seam tin roof, and blacked-out cedar soffit and fascia. Deep-set black-framed windows let the cedar interior glow at night.
